about me

finlee carter

I am involved in a variety of activities. I run track and primarily compete in the 400 and hurdles. I am also part of choir and involved in several other music activities, including playing the violin and piano. My Christian faith is very important to me. Other things I enjoy doing is spending time with my family and friends and being around the people who support me.

iowa & Minnesota | Vital 15-1

I have been playing club volleyball for two years with Vital Volleyball Club. My first year I played on the 14-1 team, and this year I am playing on the 15-1 team. My main position is MB, but I am also able to play outside and OPP. Playing multiple positions has helped me to understand the game from different roles on the court. One of my biggest highlights so far has been being on the JVA Girls Watchlist. I love playing volleyball and being on the court with my teammates.

mason city HS

I am currently a freshman in high school and played on the varsity volleyball team for Mason City High School in Iowa. This season my primary positions were right side and middle, but I am always ready to play wherever my team needs me.

Coach Howe
- Mason City High School -
Head Varsity Volleyball Coach

Finlee is an exceptional volleyball player whose maturity and skill set truly stand out for their age. Mentally, they approach the game with a level of focus, composure, and strategic understanding that is well beyond what is typically seen at the high school level. Physically, they combine strength, agility, and athleticism to compete at a very high level, consistently pushing themselves and elevating the performance of those around them.

Equally impressive is their commitment in the classroom. As a strong student, they demonstrate the same discipline and work ethic academically as they do on the court. Their ability to balance athletics and academics speaks to their character and determination.

Perhaps most importantly, Finlee is a positive role model for teammates and younger athletes. They lead by example through their attitude, effort, and respect for coaches, officials, and peers. Their leadership, humility, and dedication make them not only an outstanding athlete but also the kind of person every program hopes to have representing their team.
